Phil joined Wasps in 1968 and played at hooker for various Wasps teams. After his playing days were over, Phil held several roles at the Club, including team management and assisting Wasps FC at Twickenham against Bath in the 1995 Pilkington Cup Final. Phil appears in the team photograph below (back row, left hand side, to the right of Rob Smith).

Phil also holds the distinction of being an ever present supporter of Wasps FC's amateur first team between 1996 until the pandemic in 2020.
